EHS Coordinator

Rochester Hills, MI · Manufacturing

Placement: Direct - BCBS Medical, Vision, Dental 401K (6%)

Compensation: 75K-80K based on experience

The EHS Coordinator ensures Environment, Health and Safety activities throughout the organization in order to comply with all legal and organizational rules and regulations. Ensures that ESG data is gathered and reported. Setting area targets to support the reduction elimination of greenhouse gas emissions. Target setting and alignment

Main Tasks for the EHS Coordinator

Environment Coordination

  • Active participation with the Management team in order to define and follow up environmental goals.
  • Ensure the Environmental system accomplishment.
  • Control and analysis of Operational Controls in order to ensure accomplishment
  • Ensure Federal, State and local Rules and Regulation fulfillment.
  • Implement activities and initiatives in order to keep the environmental system up dated.
  • Create and Drive Sustainability initiatives with local activities and in collaboration with the global sustainability team.

Saftey Coordination

  • Company safety conditions analysis and action plans integration.
  • Ensure Federal-, State-, Local- and MIOSHA-Rules and Regulation fulfillment.
  • Implement Safety initiatives in order to ensure employee safety within our facility.
  • Implement initiatives in order to ensure employee health within our facility (ergonomics).
  • Active participation during Emergency procedures and drills.
  • Regular Safety Audits planning, participation, revision and follow up.
  • Train employees in all safety relevant aspects and policies (crane, LOTO, surrounding, etc.).
  • Support team in approval- and release-process of layout changes and new equipment installations.
  • Create a Business -Contingency and –Continuity plans, train management, and keep up to date.

Internal and external support

  • Coordinate external contractor and suppliers in relation to ESG- and EHS-areas.
  • Direct relation with Fire Department, Police, MIOSHA’S officers or any other dependency related to occupational safety.
  • Support the organization during quotation processes for the ESG- and EHS-areas.
