Tier 1 Automotive Component Supplier looking to hire Material Handlers on 1st, 2nd, 3rd shift to join their Team in Rochester, MI!

Placement: Contract to Direct after 90 Days (BCBS Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K (6%)

Pay: $17/HR. Plus 5% shift premium for 2nd shift, 10% shift premiun for third shift and 20% weekend shift premium

First Shift: 6:30am - 2:30pm Monday - Friday
Second Shift: 2:30pm-10:30pm Monday - Friday
Third Shift: 10:30pm - 6:30am Sunday - Thursday

In this role, you will perform all necessary functions pertaining to material shipping/receiving and warehouse maintenance. Prepares receiving reports required for all incoming production and non-production material. Coordinates all shipments with Logistics Department.

Duties for Material Handler

Handler Activities

• Load and unload incoming and outgoing trucks.
• Move material into SAP using RF scanner.
• Performs random inspection to verify part and quantity accuracy.
• Sends appropriate parts to containment area for testing.
• Rotates all stock to comply with FIFO (First In First Out) requirement.
• Labels all pallets with Master H.U.
• Pull customer requirements per pick sheets.

Internal Support

• Stock production areas per pull sheets (2 Bin).
• Maintain packaging levels in production (2 Bin).
• Consolidate rack space when needed.
• Clean totes for production use
• Weigh and label scrap and recycle bins.
• Wrap pallets for outbound shipments.

Essential Skills for Material Handler

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of related experience in logistics.
• Automotive Sector- Production facilities- Tier 1 and 2 preferred.
