StreamlineHR is seeking qualified Toolmakers and Machine Builders for our customers in Metro Detroit - Auburn Hills/Pontiac, Warren/Sterling Heights/Troy area, Shelby Twp/Clinton Twp, Novi/Brighton area, Ann Arbor area, Grand Rapids/Holland area, Genesee County area, and Lansing area.
Position: Machine Builder / Toolmaker
Pay rate: Dependent on experience - Class 1, Class 2, and Helper Level
Assignment Details: Contract / Project Based Assignment

Summary:
The machine builder is responsible for layout and build of mechanical components used on tooling for an individual project.
Responsibilities:
- Machine Builders and Toolmakers are on the mechanical assembly team
- Complete assignments in a professional manner by giving attention to details, working with a sense of urgency while following safety protocol.
- Completes assigned tooling on schedule by using blueprints, manuals, and customer specs as necessary
- Identify mechanical issues and adjustments and work with team and managers to ensure adjustments/corrections are made.
- Complete all/any necessary paperwork and reporting
- Follow company policies and procedures
- Follow safety guidelines and protocol
- Work as directed
Requirements:
- 2+ years of machine build / toolmaker experience
- Ability to read blueprints and layout equipment according to prints
- Ability to work within an Integration OR Sub-Assembly Environment
- Able to take direction and follow procedures from management/supervision
- Able to work independently, or in a group and be self motived to complete tasks
- Follow safety standards
- Strong Mechanical background and understanding of tooling assembly & setup
- Strong written and oral communication skills
